HENDERSON, Nev. – October 7, 2025 – Callstack, a global leader in React Native and cross-platform app development, today announced it has joined the React Foundation as a founding member. This new foundation, launched under the governance of the Linux Foundation, will provide a neutral, collaborative home for React, React Native, and other supporting open-source projects.
The React Foundation marks a critical milestone in the maturation of the world's most popular UI library. It will oversee core infrastructure, community initiatives, and organize React Conf, ensuring the long-term stability and stewardship required by the millions of developers and companies who rely on these technologies. Technical governance and the direction of the projects will remain separate to preserve the community-driven nature of development.
